No. 7 Coventry (RI) and defending champion New Milford (CT) are back, along with new foe No. 3 Newtown (CT). The addition of a few New York schools to the mix should make for a very interesting tournament!

This Year
Although this New Cannan team isn’t quite as strong as last year's, they are still a favorite to win. Other teams that will threaten the Rams include host Brookfield/Shepaug, Darien, and Masuk.

This tournament should be a great one and although it has fewer competing teams than other, it will be action-packed. Top to bottom Beverly (MA) and Gloucester (MA) are great teams and will look to battle for a conference title again. Salem (MA) should contend along with Saugus/Peabody (MA).
One potential matchup here highlights this event. If No. 5 Gino Sicari (Beverly, MA) and No. 6 Michael Toppan (Gloucester, MA) meet in the finals, this would be the “rubber match” of the season with Toppan getting the win at the Lowell tournament, and Sicari winning the match during the dual.

This Year
No. 4 Shawsheen Tech (MA) SHOULD be the favorite to win it this year, but injuries have dealt a deep blow to the Rams by taking out Brayton Carbone (126) for the rest of his junior year. No. 10 Monty Tech (MA) looks to capitalize on a weakened Rams squad and take the Tech School state title this year. Other teams that could make some noise are Tri-County (MA) and Bristol County/Dighton Rehoboth (MA)
