With a few action packed weekends since the last set, it's time to update the boys public school rankings! Results from the Colter Abely Mid-Season Classic (CT), Woburn Invitational (MA), Gary Tiger’s Ridgefield Challenge (CT), and Timberlane Invitational (NH) along with some newsworthy duals are the main causes of movement.

There are no changes within the top 10 even though we saw some action between them. No. 2 Scott Cole (Scituate, RI) bested No. 6 Zach Dixon (Xavier, CT) 9-4 to win a Colter Abely title. No. 3 Caden Hughes (Ponaganset RI) made his season debut for the Chieftains going 1-2 at the prestigious Escape the Rock (PA).

No.13 Matt Boucher (Timberlane, NH) won the Timberlane Invite beating his teammate in the finals, showing the depth of the Owl’s lightweights. In Ridgefield, No. 15 Oscar Rodriguez (Trumbull, CT) made the finals where he lost 9-3 to No. 8 Cole Desiano (Ridgefield, CT). And No. 16 Caden Barbera (South Kingstown, RI) will be competing at 106lbs for the postseason.

Alexander Orellana (Woburn, MA) jumps into the rankings in a big way-entering the top 5 as the new No. 4. Orellana claimed a Woburn Invite crown and defeated No. 5 Cole Glynn (Central Catholic, MA) in the semi-finals 4-3; he also has a win over No. 19 Kai Nappadow-Baquero (Winchester, MA) from earlier in the season.

No. 7 Bradley Ament (Xavier, CT) won the Colter Abely besting No. 9 Carter Lanzilli (Ridgefield, CT). Lanzilli also suffered a loss to No. 8 William Accorsi (Somers, CT) who has dropped down from 120lbs and looks to be a contender. No. 13 Diego Cruz (Mt. Everett, MA) won the 31st Annual Mountie Invite (MA) defeating No. 14 Mason Sheltra (Colchester, VT) 6-3 in the finals.

No. 9 Dante Guisti (Shawsheen Tech, MA) won a Massachusetts Vocational Tech School title by defeating No. 19 Aidan Fogarty (Whittier Tech, MA) in the finals. Getting to the finals, Fogarty beat No. 20 Cole Mallon (Greater Lawrence, MA) in the semis. No. 18 Bradey Jonasch (Killingly, CT) makes his top 20 debut. Jonasch was a sixth-place finisher at the Connecticut State Open last season at 106lbs and recently placed second at the Greater Hartford Open (CT) where he lost in the finals to No. 17 Michael Ortiz (Hall, CT)

No. 10 Jordin Agosto (Agawam, MA) won the Colter Abely beating No. 19 Seamus Hallinan (Xavier, CT) in the semi-finals.

No. 17 Brayton Carbone (Shawsheen Tech, MA) won a Votech state title, but he also dropped a 2-0 decision to No. 16 Jordan Lally (East Greenwich, RI) in the finals of the Woburn Invitational. Lally has losses on the season to No. 15 Aydin Schifino (East Providence, RI) and No. 14 Carter Trubiano (Keene, NH).

Meanwhile, Gonzalez beat No. 10 John Carrozza (Ridgefield, CT) in the semi-finals. No. 12 Duncan Harrington (Mt. Anthony, VT), who had hurt his hand back in December at his first competition, returned this past weekend and went 4-0 in dual competition.

Logan beat No. 4 Jay Chase (Sheehan, CT) in the finals of the Timberlane Invite. Just a week prior, Chase defeted 2x New England Finalist No. 5 Jaeckez Mendez (East Hartford, CT) 7-6 at the Greater Hartford Open. And let’sets not forget No. 11 Jacob Gordon (South Windsor, CT) bested Chase earlier in the season,but… Gordon lost to No. 14 Brady Zadora (Killingly, CT) 16-11 in the semi-finals of the GHO. Zadora got a reversal and four nearfall points in the last 20 seconds to secure the win.

No. 2 Sidney Tildsley (Shawsheen Tech, MA) beat No. 7 Kaden Dustin (Noble, ME) in the semi-finals of the Woburn Invite. Dustin would ultimately place fourth, defaulting out to No. 10 Riley Carlucci (Franklin, MA). No. 16 Justin Duhancik (Stratford, CT) was a Lowell placer and recently bested No. 18 Ethan Lah (Amity, CT) 9-3 in the finals of the Ridgefield Challenge. Lah beat No. 20 Tucker Wright (Middlebury, VT) 11-7 in the finals of the New Milford Tournament, but Wright beat Duhancik 18-16 in the semis of that same event.
