It’s almost postseason time! This will be the second-to-last set of rankings before New Englands. One more will be revealed before the qualifying tournaments. Before New Englands, the Schwartz Report will once again be doing a hypothetical bracket reseed, as well. This upcoming weekend will be big with the Massachusetts Sectionals and the rest of the Connecticut Conference Tournaments.

The Capital City Classic (NH), Connecticut Challenge (CT), Bill James Invite (MA), CCC Conference Tournament (CT), RIIL D2-3 Sectional (RI), and the MPA Class Divisional tournaments (ME) were some of the major events over the past couple weeks and factor into these new rankings. with a few others going on as well.

No. 8 Talon Oljey (Timberlane, NH) bested No. 8 Mike Morris (Haverhill, MA) in a dual meet.

No. 2 Nathan Sayers (Xaverian, MA) beat No. 12 Brayton Carbone (Shawsheen Tech, MA) 13-5 in the finals of the Bill James Invite. Sayers slipped past No. 16 Seamus Hallinan (Xavier, CT) 1-0 in the semi-finals. We had some top ten action at this weight class as No. 3 Braylon Gonzalez got a revenge win over No. 4 George McAteer (Xaverian, MA) via pin, avenging a major decision loss from a couple weeks prior. No. 7 Isaac Quilles (East Hartford, CT) won the CCC Tournament beating No. 9 Isaiah McDaniel (Middletown, CT), 7-2.

At the Capital City Classic, No. 2 Lance Bordeleau (Pinkerton Academy, NH) beat No. 16 Braydon Wilding (Bishop Hendricken, RI) in the finals. Wilding bested No. 19 Peyton Gowell (Keene, NH) in the semi-finals. Possible big news is No. 18 Dante Graziano’s (Shawsheen Tech, MA) return from injury. However, he took a loss to No. 12 Duncan Harrington (Mt. Anthony, VT) at the Bill James Invite. Still, expect Graziano to make big strides quickly and potentially make some noise in the Sectional, Divisional, and All-State tournaments after missing most of the regular season.

Anthony Union, VT), who dropped down a weight class and beat No. 11 Riley Carlucci (Franklin, MA) in a dual, and No. 17 Elijah Fagin (Avon, CT) won a CCC Conference title at this weight class while No. 5 Jaeckez Mendez (East Hartford, CT) bumped up a weight class to 144lbs for the CCC tournament and won his third conference title in as many years.

No. 20 Zach Jean-Phillpe (Cranston West, RI) cracks the list. He lost to Reiss in the finals of the Bill James Invite. No. 18 Brian Montanez (Hope, RI) was a 2024 New England qualifier and also has a win over Jean-Phillipe this season.
