The No. 6 wrestler in the public school class of 2024, Brent Nicolosi, has announced via Instagram that he has made his decision and will be joining his brother Jake at University of Mount Olive in North Carolina.
Nicolosi, the No. 19 wrestler in New England regardless of grade or division and a 2x NHSCA All-American from Haverhill High School in Massachusetts, is ready for the big challenge.
“I met the coaches only a year ago,” Nicolosi told The Schwartz Report. “I am really excited to go; I want that All-American status.”
An NCAA DII school, Mount Olive is home to Brent’s older brother Jake—and when it came down to decision time, the familiar connection was enough.
“It was between Lander [University in South Carolina] and Mount Olive, and ultimately I chose to follow my brother,” Nicolosi said.
“I expect to be drilling with him alot and getting better.”
